Since its establishment, GOAL has been at the forefront of humanitarian action and development, operating across various continents to address pressing global issues.

With a mission to empower vulnerable communities, GOAL strives to create environments where individuals can thrive and thrive sustainably.

The NextGen Youth Programme is a pivotal initiative that embodies this mission, as it fosters the development of young leaders who are prepared to tackle some of the world’s most critical challenges, focusing on areas such as climate change and health systems.


By engaging in this programme, participants will:
• Deepen their understanding of interconnected global issues.
• Critically assess systems that perpetuate inequality. Reflect on their role in addressing local and global challenges.
• Foster dialogue grounded in empathy and inclusivity. Build courage and resilience to advocate for social change.
• Gain insight into GOAL’s operations and collaborate with staff members.


To be eligible for selection, applicants must:
• Be a current resident of one of the following countries: Ireland, Ethiopia, Honduras, Iraq, Sierra Leone, Syria, Turkey, Uganda, or Zimbabwe.
• Be aged between 18 and 25 years old. Be fluent in English.
• Commit to participating in all ten sessions from May to July.
• Demonstrate basic understanding of local and global issues through relevant activities.
• Show initiative and a desire for positive change, reflected through volunteering, workshops, or creative pursuits.
• Have reliable access to a device and the internet (if access is a barrier, please mention it in your application).
