Missing Billion Initiative
Communications Consultant
Description
The Missing Billion Initiative (MBI) is an agenda-setting initiative that has taken on one of the biggest unaddressed health equity issues of our times: health access and outcomes for people with disabilities. We activate health actors to improve health for persons with disabilities through
1) producing and diffusing evidence on the topic and

● Translate findings from programmatic work with Community Health Worker in Kenya into powerful stories and compelling communication tools (e.g. short videos, blog articles, beneficiary interviews)
● Create impactful content and key messages from MBI reports to help engage and influence key decision-makers
● Prepare and manage social media content, end-of-year newsletter, and website update, with support from the team
● Ensure that communications are in line with MBI accessibility guidelines

● Revised MBI overview slide deck and MBI one-page overview
● Communication plan for 2025
● 5-10 social media posts prepared
● 1 newsletter sent
● 1-2 blog articles/ videos /interviews published
