The Project Officer will play a crucial role in managing the complexoperations of the PlantwisePlus Burundi project, which involvesnumerous activities that span various stakeholders such asgovernment agencies, research institutions, NGOs, private sectorpartners, and farmer groups. The officer will be instrumental inensuring the seamless organization of field activities and assistingthe Country Coordinator in maintaining smooth communicationbetween local teams, external stakeholders, and CABI’sinternational staff. They will be responsible for facilitating the flowof information, tracking progress, and addressing any emergingchallenges that could hinder the project’s success. In addition tohandling the project's day-to-day operations, the Project Officer willmanage the procurement processes, ensuring that all goods andservices are acquired in compliance with CABI’s procurementguidelines and donor requirements. This includes managingvendor relationships, tracking budgets, and ensuring thatresources are deployed effectively and transparently. The Officerwill also oversee essential administrative tasks, such as organizingstakeholder workshops, preparing project reports, maintainingdocumentation, and managing logistical arrangements for projectactivities. Given the scope and complexity of PlantwisePlusBurundi, the Project Officer's role is pivotal in keeping the projecton track, ensuring that its ambitious objectives are met efficientlyand in alignment with CABI’s strategic goals.
