We are excited to invite civil society organisations to work with the Project Capacity Building through Urban Infrastructure Development (CBUID) II The Project Capacity Building through Urban Infrastructure Development (CBUID) II is a joint Egyptian-German development initiative commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. The project is implemented by GIZ in cooperation with the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities (MoHUUC), represented by the General Organisation for Physical Planning (GOPP), and Urban Development Fund (UDF). CBUID II aims to improve the implementation of integrated and socially inclusive urban development in selected governorates of Egypt. This approach will be demonstrated through pilot measures in Alexandria and Giza that combine:
• Improved basic infrastructure and basic service delivery,
• Measures to enhance climate adaptation,
• Efforts to promote local economic development.
