Position: Communications Co-Pilot for the Creative DirectorLocation: Accra (Full-time)Preference: Ghanaian (Authenticity is non-negotiable)About Ghana Food Movement:Ghana Food Movement is a thriving network and cultural revolution that celebrates Ghana's rich culinary heritage. We bring together food enthusiasts, culinary innovators, and community members united by a shared passion for local ingredients and sustainable practices. Our mission is to highlight the best of Ghanaian cuisine through innovative food experiences, engaging digital content, and dynamic community programs. By blending tradition with modern creativity, we transform locally-sourced ingredients into unforgettable gastronomic adventures.

About the Role:

This isn’t your average communications assistant gig. I need someone who’s quick on their feet, a fast thinker who can anticipate human behavior like a mind reader. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help bring our creative visions to life without being boxed in by the "rules." (Yes, in Ghana they teach you to follow them, but here we need someone who can pivot like a chef swapping salami for mushrooms at a moment’s notice.) Reporting directly to me, the Creative Director, you'll drive our communications, amplify our brand, and elevate our sub-programs like the Youth in Food Program.

What You’ll Do:

Digital & Social Media Management:Curate, schedule, and post engaging content that keeps our channels buzzing with authenticity.Monitor and reply to comments, fostering genuine community engagement. Plan and place targeted marketing ads on social media to boost our reach.

Event Coordination:Brainstorm and execute dynamic events and campaigns – from creative concept to on-site execution.Media Relations:Build authentic relationships with influencers, media contacts, and partners to amplify our brand’s presence.

Research & Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends and audience insights to craft a communications strategy that’s always one step ahead.

Administrative Support: Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, and handle those city errands with flair and efficiency.

Brand Consistency: Ensure every piece of communication reflects our unique voice and vibe—no cookie-cutter content allowed.

Vendor & Carpenter Coordination: Assist in fulfilling orders and finalizing the interior design of our kitchen, ensuring precision and style.

Sub-Programs Management: Oversee and support initiatives like the Youth in Food Program, ensuring alignment with our overall mission and branding.Direct Collaboration:Work closely with and respond directly to the Creative Director, ensuring every task aligns with our creative vision.

What I’m NOT Looking For: No motivation letters starting with “I’m pleased to…” or “I’m excited to….”. Show me your wit and creativity instead. If your Instagram is all filters and huge puppy eyes, this might not be your gig. I’m after raw, real authenticity.Attention to detail is everything. If your formatting is all over the place, we won’t get along. Well-structured, clear, and visually pleasing communication is essential.
