Project Officer, #AfricaJobsBoard

To scale its jobs board, afrorama is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented part-time Project Officer. This is an opportunity to get hands-on project management experience while creating a lasting and positive impact! The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, creative and has an eye for detail.

Reporting directly to afrorama’s founder Chloé Bertrand, the Project Officer will work through the project cycle and manage the following tasks:

The Project Officer’s tasks will include (but are not limited to):

- Content creation and social media management:

Curate, prepare and publish our weekly newsletters for our LinkedIn and email subscribers;

Update the WhatsApp Bot with new opportunities;

Manage monthly community engagement activity;

Create and schedule weekly social media posts using Canva and Later.

- Data and website management: 

Source, and upload opportunities to our website using our web management tool.

- Business development & Fundraising: 

Contribute to fundraising efforts, including applying for grants and identifying funding opportunities;

Improve workflows to streamline internal processes.
