Programme Assistant (Shared) – Impact and Learning and Funded Initiatives

We are hiring to fill a vacancy for the position of Programme Assistant (Shared) – Impact and Learning (I&L), Resourcing and Funded Initiatives (FI) projects. To fill this position, we are looking for a highly motivated person who is passionate about women’s rights in Africa, excited about African feminisms and embraces African gender diversity, to join our team. 

Are you a dynamic individual with experience in providing monitoring, evaluation, and learning, as well as administrative and programmatic support, contributing to the efficient operation of AWDF’s I&L, Resourcing and FI Project Teams?

Are you excited to contribute and work collaboratively across teams to assist the I&L and Resourcing functions? These teams are responsible for leading the re-imagining, implementation and learning in support of AWDF’s new strategy work with African women’s rights and feminist organisations, gender-diverse communities, collectives and movements working for gender justice in Africa.

‍Are you comfortable with supporting the piloting of responsive, feminist accompaniment, resourcing and MEL approaches based on movement priorities? If you responded yes to our questions, then we would like you to join our team!

Job Summary

The Programme Assistant is a shared role that is responsible for providing monitoring, evaluation and learning, and administrative and programmatic support, contributing to the efficient operation of AWDF’s Impact and Learning and Resourcing Teams. The role entails close collaboration with all the clusters and under the Programme Manager for Impact and Learning, in a matrix management arrangement with the Programme Manager for Resourcing and the Partnership and Philanthropy Department. These teams follow a matrix management and cross-cluster operational model. The role holder will therefore work with and be supported by various clusters, teams and Departments.
