Description
As a Grants Officer, you will be part of a team and report to the Partnerships & Innovation Manager. The ideal candidates will have strong research, writing, and analytical skills, as well as a keen interest in agriculture, climate change, AgriTech, precision farming, environmental conservation, Artificial intelligence and rural development in Ghana and globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research to identify relevant grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and international donors.
- Write compelling grant proposals, concept notes, and letters of inquiry tailored to specific funding opportunities.
- Collaborate with the business development team to gather data, impact stories, and other supporting materials for grant applications.
- Ensure proposals align with donor priorities and company’s mission, vision, and objectives.
- Track grant deadlines and submission requirements, ensuring timely applications.
- Create and maintain the grant management database: Ensuring that all grant and grantee information is entered consistently and accurately. Regularly proposing ways to better track grants, budgets, and managing the database.
- Assist in preparing grant budgets and financial justifications.
