Description
JOB PURPOSE: To assist in the development and implementation of AISA’s research, campaigning, and communication strategies including by monitoring social and political developments related to human rights; drafting and assisting in the production of documents; participating in the coordination of the work of the team; and providing support including in relation to field work and in response to crises.
AISA PURPOSE: Amnesty International South Africa (AISA) is a national human rights entity that is part of a global human rights movement. It was established to address national human rights priorities as well as create the possibility for people in South Africa to join Amnesty International’s global movement. Our mission in South Africa is to address pertinent national human rights issues through research, campaigning, mobilising, advocacy, and human rights education; to empower people in South Africa to take action on issues that matter to them through AI’s international human rights movement; and to leverage South Africa’s influence regionally and globally to promote human rights domestically, bilaterally and internationally.
