The role is two-fold:

2/3 for the Meridiam Hub

The Meridiam Hub (spread across the organization) contributes to Meridiam’s mission through the following core activities:

  • Leading the Portfolio Management reporting process to support internal steering of the portfolio alongside the ongoing external reporting to Meridiam’s Investors. This includes also continuous collection of key data relating to the Portfolio to support ongoing compliance and ensuring the Organizations collective memory is retained.
  • Contributing to Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Improvement through managing and overseeing core activities to share knowledge between assets and within Meridiam teams to support Business Development, Project Development and ongoing external communications with our wide range of stakeholders. This includes also contributing to a range of other specific activities including secondaries, fundraising and other miscellaneous activities.
1/3 for Portfolio Management

The Dakar office oversees all projects in the portfolio or under development in West Africa. The role will be:

  • In collaboration with Investment Directors/Senior Managers, work on portfolio projects. This means working with the project company teams (SPV) on all their operational, ESG, and financial matters. Also, assist Meridiam team with investor reporting: updating financial models, updating financial, marketing, and operational files...

The Meridiam West Africa team operates throughout the region, with 10 staff members actively engaged in various projects. The analyst, will gain comprehensive exposure to a wide range of infrastructure projects, developing a deep understanding of all project components, including financial, legal, negotiation, and technical aspects.Your missions :Meridiam Hub role:The Analyst will assist the Meridiam Hub team on the following topics, on the African perimeter:

  • Preparation of the quarterly reports (internal reports as well as investors’ reports), including ESG specific reports
  • Contribute to Knowledge sharing initiatives within the Hub. This can include the preparation organization and coordination of webinars, case studies showcasing assets’ ESG efforts, etc.
  • Support quarterly valuation process of assets
  • Feed ad hoc due diligence/queries process as required
  • S/he will also be in close contact and provide ad hoc support to the Valuation team, Investors Relations team, the ESG/SDG team and some Projects Companies (SPVs).

Portfolio Management role:The Dakar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at transforming urban mobility in Senegal's capital and enhancing the quality of life for thousands of Dakar residents. As the first electric BRT system in Sub-Saharan Africa, it connects Petersen Bus Station to Guédiawaye Prefecture over an 18.3 km corridor, with 23 stations. Operational since May 2024, this project has the capacity to transport up to 300,000 passengers daily, significantly reducing travel times and congestion. Meridiam, in partnership with Senegal’s Sovereign Strategic Investment Fund (FONSIS), plays a key role in financing and managing the acquisition, operation, and maintenance of a fleet of 121 fully electric buses. Beyond providing an efficient and eco-friendly transportation solution, the BRT project demonstrates a commitment to sustainability and innovative urban development. The Analyst will act as the daily liaison between Meridiam and the operational team within Dakar Mobilité (the “SPV”), with responsibilities including/

  • Updating the project’s financial model used for Meridiam’s reporting, discussions with lenders, and negotiations with the grantor authority:

o   Performing in-depth development and detailed analysis of the financial model.o   Exploring and evaluating potential financial alternatives.o   Running scenario and sensitivity analyses.

  • Contributing to quarterly reporting for management and investors.
  • Participating in general project risk analysis, identifying key financial and operational risks, and proposing mitigation measures.
  • Supporting the team in strategy development and participating in negotiations with the grantor authority and lenders.
  • Assisting the SPV with the annual budget preparation, monitoring its implementation, and updating it if necessary.
  • Providing support to the SPV teams on cross-functional topics such as ESG monitoring, operational updates, strategic planning, and additional needs.
  • Preparing internal memos for management and the investment committee.
  • Conducting lenders due diligence (as the case may be) and coordinating with external advisors.
  • Coordinating with external stakeholders such as lenders, grantors, and technical advisors to ensure alignment on project roadmap.
